Uri the guide dog visits Claddagh NS

On Thursday May 14th the children in pre-school and second class enjoyed a very special visit from guide dog Uri and his owner Cara Gibbons. They live in the local community and kindly let us interview them about their special bond and how the labradoodle helps Cara to overcome her disability everyday. It was such a valuable educational experience for the children and we were all so inspired by Cara's positive attitude. Once Uri's harness was removed, we all enjoyed petting the handsome pooch! We are proud to announce that so far, the students and staff of Claddagh NS raised €152.40 for Irish Guide Dogs for the blind.
