Listening Map: Aquarium from “Carnival of the Animals”

Just as Vivaldi was clever in describing the seasons through music in our last listening activity, Camille Saint-Saens was very clever in how he makes us think of the swirling water and the fish swimming.

Can you hear what instruments are playing? Look for pictures of them on the listening map.

Springtime Listening and Responding

Spring is here and there are lots of things to see and hear!

Listen to Antonio Vivaldi's "Spring". What does the music make your think of or "picture" in your mind?

Try to listen out for these things: Trees starting to grow; birds chatting to each other; rivers flowing; April showers… and you might even hear a thunder storm!

Draw a picture of what the music reminds you of!
