Our Maths Recovery programme is aimed at helping children who need an extra boost to improve their knowledge and understanding of number concepts.
Developing their understanding using real world materials and resources, the children get to practice and learn key skills in maths. The programme has been proven to improve children’s knowledge and abilities in maths – and the children enjoy it, too!
The Maths Recovery Programme draws extensively on a cohesive body of research in to the learning and teaching of early mathematics. This is the research undertaken by Professor Leslie Steffe and his colleagues at the University of Georgia in the United States since the late 1970s and by Professor Bob Wright since the early 1980s.
