Dive right into a fascinating hour of sea creatures, science and all things salty, with Claddagh Kids Talk: The Ocean.
How do starfish move and eat, even though they don't even have a brain, blood or a heart? What's the biggest jellyfish in the world? Are there any interesting shipwrecks off the Irish coast? What kinds of whales and dolphins live in Irish waters? And... is a dogfish really half dog, half fish?!
Find the answers to these questions - and more - with the kids from Mr. Leonard's Rang a 5 as they present the results of their marine science research in this lively, informative and very entertaining episode.
The podcast has been created as part of the work carried out by Claddagh National School in collaboration with the Explorers Education Programme Officers at Galway Atlantaquaria. Funded by the Marine Institute - Foras na Mara, the state agency for marine research and development in Ireland, the Explorers Education Programme provides engaging activities, resources and support for teachers, children, and the education network, delivering ocean literacy to primary schools across Ireland.
